Murano-Style Glass Mushroom Lamp

A small domed glass shade over a matching glass base, worked with the swirled stripes that give Murano glass its name. At 18 cm tall it is a modest thing, but the pattern in the glass means it holds interest during the day as an object and not only at night as a light.

Lit, the stripes throw a faint ripple of shadow onto the surface around it, and the glass diffuses the LED into something soft enough to leave on while falling asleep.
