A long linear pendant sculpted by hand from high-density polystyrene, finished in the chalky, slightly irregular surface that gives wabi-sabi lighting its character. Because each piece is shaped individually rather than moulded, the texture and the edges vary a little from one to the next, which is the point rather than a flaw.
It hangs on a 150 cm drop and comes in widths from 30 cm up to 60 cm, so it can be scaled to the table or island beneath it. The general rule is to choose a fitting roughly two-thirds the width of the table, hung about 75 to 85 cm above the surface. The G9 bulb sits within the form and washes light down onto the table while the sculpted body glows softly.
Two forms, A and B, are offered in grey or white. The G9 bulb is included. Polystyrene keeps the weight low, which makes installation easier on a plasterboard ceiling, but it is a mains-wired fitting, so have a qualified electrician install it. Dust it with a soft dry brush; a damp cloth will mark the matte surface.

Will mine look exactly like the photograph?
It will be the same form and finish, with small variations in texture and edge, because each one is sculpted by hand. That is what makes it a piece rather than a product off a line.
What width do I need?
Aim for about two thirds the width of the table or island below it. On a standard six seat dining table the 50 or 60 cm reads best; over a smaller kitchen table the 30 or 40 cm is the right call.
How high should it hang?
Roughly 75 to 85 cm above the table surface, which lights the table without blocking the view across it. The 150 cm drop gives plenty of cable to set that height on any normal ceiling.
Is a bulb included?
Yes, the G9 bulb comes with it, so the fitting is ready to go. It is mains wired to the ceiling, so have a qualified electrician install it.
How do I clean it?
A soft dry brush lifts dust off the matte surface without disturbing it. Keep a damp cloth away, as water marks the chalky finish that gives the piece its character.
