TempoStone Silent Wall Clock

A wall clock with a textured stone-effect face, printed in high definition onto a resin body so the surface reads as weathered mineral rather than flat board. At 3 cm deep it sits proud enough of the wall to cast a small shadow, which is what stops a large clock face looking like a sticker.

The movement is silent quartz, which matters more than the specification sheet suggests. There is no tick, so it can hang in a bedroom or a study without becoming the loudest thing in the room at eleven at night, and the second hand sweeps rather than steps.

Three sizes are offered, 29.7, 34.7 and 39.5 cm square, so it can be scaled to the wall: the smaller above a desk, the largest as a focal point over a sofa or a bed where a picture might otherwise go. It is light enough to hang from a single picture hook and runs on one AA battery, not included. Dust it with a dry cloth; the printed face does not like damp.
