Stained Glass Dog LED Night Light Lamp

A night light that does not look like one. Built around a resin dog figure with stained glass panelling, it runs on a low-output LED, so it draws almost nothing, stays cool to the touch and can be left on all night on a landing, in a child's room or beside a bed without heating the shade or running up a bill.

Six designs are offered, A to F, in two sizes, so it can be matched to a narrow shelf or given the space of a console table. The coloured glass turns the LED into something warmer than a plain bulb, throwing amber and green across the nearest wall instead of a flat white circle. That is the difference between a night light that helps someone sleep and one that keeps the room awake.

LED means the lamp should outlast several conventional bulbs, with nothing to replace along the way. Wipe it with a dry cloth and keep it away from water. If it is going into a child's room, position it out of reach, run any cable behind furniture rather than across the floor, and supervise young children around it.
