Resin River Acacia Cutting Board
Acacia wood split along its length and rejoined with a channel of blue resin poured between the two halves, then sanded flat so the surface is continuous. The resin follows the natural edge of the timber, which means the river takes a different course on every board and no two come out the same.
Acacia earns its place here rather than just looking good. It is dense, closes over knife marks well, and has enough natural oil to resist moisture, which is why it holds up as a working board rather than a decorative one. At 46 by 23 cm there is room to lay out a cheese course with a knife and biscuits, carve a small joint, or prep vegetables and slide them straight into a pan.
It moves easily between kitchen and table, which is the real appeal: chop on it, then carry it through as a serving board without transferring anything. Hand wash in warm water, dry it on edge rather than flat, and oil the wood occasionally with food-safe mineral oil. Keep it out of the dishwasher and never leave it soaking, as both will lift the resin over time.
