Nordic Wall-Mounted Coat Rack

A 40 cm rail in rubberwood and aluminium carrying five double hooks that slide along its length. Being able to move the hooks is the useful part: space them evenly for a row of coats, or bunch three together at one end and leave a gap for a bag and a hat. Most coat racks fix you to whatever spacing the factory chose.

The look is quietly Scandinavian, matte black metal against warm natural timber, compact enough for a narrow hallway or the back of a bedroom door wall where a full coat stand would never fit. Each hook is doubled, so one hook takes a coat on the lower arm and a scarf or a cap on the upper without either falling off.

Rubberwood is dense and stable, and at 380 g the whole rack is light enough to mount on a plasterboard wall with the appropriate fixings. Wall hardware is included. Fit it in an entryway, a hallway, a bedroom, a bathroom for robes and towels, or inside a wardrobe. Fix into a stud or use suitable wall plugs, and keep loads reasonable on hollow walls.
