Nordic Ribbed Resin Wall Lamp

A compact wall light cast in resin with a deep ribbed face, the kind of fluting that catches a raking light and produces a run of soft shadows down the wall even before the lamp is switched on. It is a small piece, 16.5 cm tall, but the texture gives it more presence than the size suggests.

Light escapes upward and downward rather than straight out, so you get two soft washes against the wall instead of a glare in the eyeline. That makes it well suited to a bedside, a hallway, a stairwell landing or an accent wall where the point is atmosphere rather than task light. Mounted in a pair either side of a bed or a mirror, the effect is symmetrical and calm.

Four colours are offered: white, grey, brown and green. It takes a standard E27 bulb, which is not included, so you can choose the warmth and brightness yourself; a warm 2700 K bulb suits the fluting best. Wall mounted with mains wiring, so have an electrician fit it unless you are competent with household electrics.
