Industrial Wood & Metal Wall Sconce

A compact wall fitting pairing a polished metal cup with a natural wood collar, sized at 20 by 6 cm so it sits tight to the wall. The wood is the detail that stops it reading as purely industrial; against exposed brick it looks workshop, against painted plaster it looks Scandinavian, which is a useful amount of range from one small fitting.

It is designed around an exposed bulb, so the bulb is part of the design rather than something to conceal. A vintage filament LED in the E27 fitting gives the warm amber glow the piece is styled for; a frosted globe will give something softer and more diffuse if the fitting is going somewhere you sit facing it.

The semi-flush mount means it projects very little, which makes it practical along a stairwell, a narrow hallway or beside a bed where a swing-arm lamp would be in the way. Two finishes are offered, black and white. The bulb is not included. It is hard-wired at 110 to 240 V on a wall switch, so have a qualified electrician install it unless you are competent with mains work.
