LED Smart Alarm Clock

A bedside clock that does not look like a gadget. The wood-effect casing keeps it closer to a small block of timber than a piece of consumer electronics, and the LED digits sit behind the surface so the face reads as clean and unlit until the display comes on. It suits a bedroom, a desk or a shelf where a glossy black clock radio would look out of place.

Voice activation means you can wake the display with a word rather than fumbling for a button in the dark, and brightness is adjustable, so it can be bright enough to read across a room in daylight or dimmed to something that will not keep you awake. Three separate alarms cover different wake times across the week, and the ambient temperature reading in Celsius or Fahrenheit is a small thing that turns out to be useful most mornings.

It runs from the included USB cable rather than internal batteries, so it needs a nearby socket or a USB port. Two shapes are offered, a rectangular block and a wedge-style triangle, each in light wood, dark wood, black and white finishes.
