PowerLuxe Wireless Table Lamp

An aluminium column standing 34 cm tall under a 15 cm sculptural dome shade, with no cable anywhere on it. The dome pushes the light straight down onto the surface below, so what you get is a contained pool rather than a glow spreading across the room.

Brightness runs through multiple dimming levels, from a low evening setting up to something workable for reading or paperwork, all from a touch switch on the body. The LED draws between nothing and 5 W, so the battery lasts through a long evening and recharges over USB.

Aluminium gives it enough weight to sit steady without being awkward to lift, and three finishes are offered, black, gold and white, each with a warm white LED. The point of a lamp with no cord is that it goes where sockets do not: a dining table centre, a windowsill, a bathroom shelf, a cafe table, a patio table on a warm evening. Charge it fully before first use and wipe the aluminium with a soft dry cloth.
