NordicDrop Faux Leather Placemats

Placemats cut in a soft water-droplet outline rather than the usual rectangle, in PU faux leather with a fine cowhide grain. The shape is the point: a curved mat breaks up the grid of a rectangular table and looks considered rather than merely protective.

Each mat is finished in two different colours, one on each face, so a single set covers two looks. Turn them over for a different table setting, or mix the two sides around a table for something less uniform. Eight colour pairings are offered, from starry sky and grey through to green and ivory or walnut wood.

At 1.8 mm thick they are substantial enough to take a hot plate without the heat reaching a polished table, and the surface is waterproof and oil-proof, so spills wipe off rather than soak in. An anti-slip finish keeps them from sliding when a plate is pushed across. Measuring 42.5 by 34 cm, they fit a standard setting. Wipe or rinse clean; do not machine wash or iron.
