Ribbed Glass & Brass Pendant Light

A ribbed glass shade, 20 cm wide and 30 cm tall, hung from a polished brass fitting. The vertical fluting is doing real work: it breaks the light into fine bands as it passes through, softening the output while adding a texture that plain glass cannot give.

Three finishes are offered, clear, white and amber, and they behave quite differently. Clear shows the bulb and throws bright highlights, best with a decorative filament LED. White diffuses everything into a soft even glow. Amber warms the whole output, which suits a brass-heavy kitchen particularly well.

Brass and ribbed glass together sit comfortably in a modern kitchen, a farmhouse scheme, or a period room, which is a wider range than most pendants manage. Hung in a row of two or three over an island it reads as deliberate rather than repetitive. It takes an E26 bulb, not included, runs at 110 to 240 V, and comes with mounting hardware. It is hard-wired, so have a qualified electrician install it.
