Scandinavian Aluminium LED Wall Light

A long, slim bar rather than a box or a lantern. At 35 or 42 cm this fitting runs horizontally or vertically across a wall and lights a broad, even band rather than a cone, which is the Scandinavian approach to exterior lighting: fewer fittings, more light, nothing that draws attention to itself. On a plain render or timber elevation it does a great deal of work quietly.

The body is extruded aluminium, chosen because it sheds heat from the LED along its whole length, which is what keeps output stable and extends the life of the diodes. It is waterproof rated for full exposure, and the finish is designed to stay flat and unblemished rather than developing the chalky look that cheaper coatings get after two winters outdoors.

Two outputs are offered: 35 cm at 10 W for a doorway, a porch or a narrow passage, and 42 cm at 12 W where you want a longer wash across a wider wall. Both come in warm white for a softer domestic light and cold white for a sharper, more contemporary effect. This is a mains-wired fixture and should be installed and connected by a qualified electrician.
