A slim polycarbonate column, 33 cm tall and only 5 cm across, with the light source running up the body rather than sitting in a shade. The footprint is roughly that of a mug, which is the practical point: it fits on a crowded bedside table, a windowsill, a shelf edge or a restaurant table without displacing anything else.
