Coloured Glass Nordic Pendant Lamp

A compact glass pendant, 15 cm across and 22 cm tall, in smoked grey or amber-brown glass held by iron fittings. The tint is in the glass itself rather than applied as a coating, so the colour deepens where the glass curves and thickens, which is what stops it reading as flat plastic.

Smoked grey mutes the bulb to something dusky and evening-like; the amber-brown warms everything below it and works particularly well over a timber table. Either way the glass shows the bulb, so a decorative filament LED is worth the small extra cost here.

At this size a single pendant suits a bedside, a hallway or a corner. Over a dining table or an island, two or three hung in a line or at staggered heights make far more of it. The 150 cm cable adjusts to set the drop; around 75 to 85 cm above a table is the usual guide. It takes an E27 bulb, not included, and is ceiling mounted with a hanging cord, so have a qualified electrician install it.
